The Woman Who Unseated a Prime Minister

Maxine Mckew, star jounralist, hopefully star political representative of Australians, has unseated the incumbent Prime Minister of Australia, John Howard.

There is no doubt that her win is significantly a rejection of John Howard's dirty politics - he will go down in history as the person who introduced low-level dirt into Australian politics - but she is also quite apt herself when it comes to ethical leadership. Much of that quality is yet to be seen as the rookie star of the Labor government takes office and possibly ministerial positions.

I hope she is part of the Labor ministerial portfolio, maybe even the Deputy Prime Minister.
