Welcome to Thought Leadership!

Assalaam Alaikum (That is Arabic for peace unto you all),

I have been bugged by people whom I meet around the world, as well as from my hometown of Sydney, to start a weblog in order to share my thoughts by reflecting on the current affairs, what others say and comment on them in a solutions-oriented way. I have been shrugging off the idea, but the more I see important issues in the public space, the more I realise they have been right that this is a convenient and possibly effective way to contribute towards positive outcomes. Easier said than done, that is for sure! I do thank the people who are maintaining this space for me, because without them, firstly I would have no clue what to do and secondly this space would be one clean blank given the task of maintaining it!

I do not promise anything at all on this blog! However, I am in prayer that this can be of benefit, and when I see that it can be, I will get in here and share my thoughts and seek your constructive engagement whenever possible.

I suppose there are only two rules for this blog:

  • Rule 1- Rudeness, sarcasm, dishonesty, stupidity, sophomoric yadayada and all the antitheses to thought leadership will have no space here.
  • Rule 2- As long as rule # 1 can be avoided, keep your thoughts, advice and recommendations coming!
This blog will tackle a diverse range of topics, from religion, spirituality, social justice and responsibility, economics, current affairs and the environment, and more. Have fun, but do not forget to learn and share... and most importantly do not forget to walk the talk with utmost sincerity to the Creator, Lord of the Universe.

What a coincidence! I was at an Interfaith get together where you spoke so eloquently and passionately about Islam, and was just searching on the net, and found this! I fully agree- weblogs can be a powerful tool to offer informed words of advice, and I look forward to many from you!
