The world is at a crossroads which will either see it disappear into a destructive abyss or rise into an unmatched era of human progress. At such crossroads, foresight and thought leadership is crucial, given the lack of it is what has brought us to this unlit crossroad. Religion and Spirituality is touted as the source of our problems, when clearly it is the lack of it that is driving a global environmental, political, economic and moral failure.

Clearly, there is an urgent need for ethical propositions that can transform our insurmountable dilemmas into sustainable human benefit. Indeed, there is a need to revive the human spirit.

This blog is a personal journal of Afroz Ali, which aims to contribute to thought leadership that guides humanity through personal transformations rather than political revolutions in nurturing that revival.

How MI5 Blackmails British Muslims

Five Muslim community workers have accused MI5 of waging a campaign of blackmail and harassment in an attempt to recruit them as informants.

The men claim they were given a choice of working for the Security Service or face detention and harassment in the UK and overseas.

They have made official complaints to the police, to the body which oversees the work of the Security Service and to their local MP Frank Dobson. Now they have decided to speak publicly about their experiences in the hope that publicity will stop similar tactics being used in the future.
